Demand for domestic tourism in Russia continues to grow. There are reasons for that: geopolitical, patriotic, and material in the end. One of the most popular types of such trips through native expanses has long been considered rest in sanatoriums. Moreover, several categories of citizens are entitled to free vouchers to the sanatorium. Andrey Kondrakhin, Candidate of Medical Sciences, spoke about this.
Who is entitled to free vouchers to the sanatorium?
There are only four such categories. These are pensioners, children, disabled people of the first and second groups, as well as people who have suffered severe infections or operations.
To get a ticket, you need to get a referral from the medical commission. Beneficiaries will have to provide a document entitling them to free treatment.
Sanatorium-resort cards
By the way, so that people do not worsen their health in the sanatorium, each vacationer is issued a sanatorium-resort card. Based on the examination and tests passed, its owners are selected for treatment that, on vacation and after it, will only benefit.
Such a card, by the way, should be acquired not only by a beneficiary traveling to a sanatorium, but also going to rest there for their hard-earned money. And then, not even the hour, the sanatorium may refuse to accept. After all, they are still responsible for the health of vacationers.

Mostly in Russia, popular sanatoriums are located in the south of the country in cities such as Kislovodsk, Mineralnye Vody, Sochi, Gelendzhik, Pyatigorsk, Essentuki.
Some of them have restaurants, fitness clubs, bowling alleys and even water parks. There are also places that are less promoted, including due to the entertainment program, and have a history and a solid medical program. For example, in the city of Goryachiy Klyuch there is a sanatorium of the same name, one of the oldest in the entire Krasnodar Territory. There are thermal and mineral waters, as well as apparatus physiotherapy, acupuncture and other procedures.
Do not want to go far from Moscow? Please – free vouchers to the sanatorium of the Moscow region are also available. For example, you can get medical treatment at the Arkhangelskoye sanatorium, which is located opposite the museum-estate of the same name. This institution is adjacent to a large park, a palace, greenhouses and other attractions of the museum-estate.
And you can, on the contrary, rush to rest in Siberia. Let’s say, in Belokurikha (Altai Territory). And what, at the same time look at the country! At your service there is a local mountain climate, thermal springs and two dozen sanatoriums.
Earlier, President Vladimir Putin, in order to support domestic and inbound tourism, instructed to cancel VAT for tour operators for the sale of tours in Russia. The measure will be in effect until mid-2027.
