The man decided to appeal this decision

In Spain, a court ordered a businessman to pay his ex-wife €204,000 for 25 years of housework. The story of Ivana Moral was told by the Spanish online publication Público.
After marriage in 1995, the couple signed an agreement. According to the document, each of the spouses retained exclusive ownership of the property acquired during the marriage. However, this only proved beneficial to Moral’s husband, who opened several businesses while she took care of raising her two daughters and doing housework.

In 2020, the man refused to pay for his daughter’s higher education. Then Ivana Moral filed for divorce. Due to the current contract, the woman received ownership of only half of the house that she and her husband owned. At the same time, the man got a Porsche, Range Rover, BMW motorcycles, an olive oil farm and other real estate.
At the end of 2020, Moral filed a lawsuit for compensation. After two years of litigation, the woman was awarded a payment of 204,000 euros (approximately 16.4 million rubles). It is noted that the amount of compensation was calculated based on the minimum monthly salary in Spain. Also, the ex-husband was ordered to pay monthly maintenance to his daughters in the amount of 1,000 euros and a pension of 500 euros for their mother. The man said he would appeal the decision.
