Laboratory of molecular genetic expertise opened on the basis of the Vologda Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences

This is the second such laboratory in the region. It is located in the village of Molochny, which is convenient for testing samples from different districts and districts. The first one was created to conduct research to confirm the reliability of the origin of animals in 2020 at the Vologda breeding enterprise. Since February 21 of this year, the status of the laboratory of molecular genetic expertise on the basis of the Vologda Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences as a breeding organization has been confirmed by order of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia. The Laboratory of Molecular Genetic Expertise will enable agricultural organizations in the region to conduct laboratory studies on microsatellite typing, confirm the authenticity of the origin of cattle, establish true parents, control animal pedigrees, identify genetic anomalies and assess genetic potential.
