Over 700 tons of honey collected by Lipetsk beekeepers in 2022

At the annual meeting of the Lipetsk regional public organization “Union of beekeepers” summed up the results of last year’s work and announced the tasks for the current one. Despite the difficult weather conditions in 2022, the region received, according to preliminary estimates, 705 tons of honey. This is 56 tons more than a year earlier. Last year, the Lipetsk “Union of beekeepers” took an active part in many events held both in the region and beyond. Thus, Lipetsk bee products were presented at the all-Russian exhibitions Golden Autumn-2022, ProdExpo-2022 and at the exhibition held in Moscow as part of the national food competition Tastes of Russia. Chairman of the Board of the Union Andrey Kulikov said that at the beginning of 2023 in the Lipetsk region there were 2.3 thousand bee farms of various forms of ownership, which contained 32.7 thousand bee colonies.
