The branch of PJSC Rosseti – MES Vostok installed modern batteries and chargers at the 500 kV Chuguevka-2 substation in the Primorsky Territory. As a result of technical re-equipment, the reliability of electricity transit from Primorskaya GRES and power plants of the Amur Region has been increased.
Batteries are used as backup power sources in order to ensure the operation of relay protection and emergency automation terminals, as well as communication complexes in the event of a power outage. The new devices are made in Russia, they are low-maintenance, reliable and have a service life of at least 20 years.
Substation “Chuguevka-2” with a capacity of 501 MVA provides electricity to consumers in the Chuguevka district of Primorsky Krai, where more than 20 thousand people live, large timber processing enterprises operate. Also, the power facility is involved in the transmission of energy from generating stations in the Amur Region to consumers in other regions of the region.
