In 2022, the Russian Federation exported $937.6 million worth of agricultural products to India, which is three times more than in 2021 ($315.7 million), according to a review by the Agroexport center, citing data from the India Department of Commerce. The Russian Federation took the eighth place among the suppliers of agricultural raw materials and food to India. The basis of exports was vegetable oils. They were shipped 558.5 thousand tons worth $908.8 million, which is 2.4 and 2.9 times more than in 2021, respectively. Russian vegetable oils occupied 4.3% of the Indian market. According to the review, in 2021, the trade turnover of agricultural products between the Russian Federation and India increased by 1.3% compared to 2020, to $1.04 billion. According to Agroexport, the prospects for expanding trade in agricultural products with India will be discussed during a business mission. Russian exporting companies, which will begin on Tuesday in New Delhi.
