Livestock breeders of the Lipetsk region summed up the work in 2022

In terms of livestock and poultry production, the region is in the TOP-15 in the country. Last week, representatives of the authorities, large and small livestock businesses, and municipal districts gathered to take stock of the past year, discuss problems and set tasks for the current year. In all categories of livestock and poultry farms, 376.4 thousand tons were produced for slaughter in live weight. This is 5% more than in 2021. According to this indicator, the Lipetsk region is in the TOP-15 in the Russian Federation. Most of all, poultry was produced in the region – 207.2 thousand tons. In second place is pork – 147.7 thousand tons. The rest of the volume falls on other types of meat, including beef. In terms of egg production, the Lipetsk region reached a historical maximum last year. In all categories of farms, 862 million pieces were received.
