The Russians called the lack of the necessary items of goods and rising prices the most important problems when choosing building materials. This is reported by RBC, citing a study by NAFI.
According to the results of the study, which took place in February 2023 among 1,600 Russians from all over the country, 62% noted an increase in prices in the segment. In second place in terms of the prevalence of the problem is the complete lack of the right product in the store. Every fifth buyer (27%) has already experienced this.
Another 17% said that the usual goods for construction and repair have become worse in quality, and 16% – that the stores where they previously made such purchases have closed. 14% of Russians complained that they did not find the desired brand in stores or that it completely left the Russian market.
11% of citizens did not have enough information about the product to make a final purchase decision. Every tenth was dissatisfied with the delivery time, and 9% – with the level of service. Another 8% noted that stores have a low level of service and do not provide an opportunity to pay for goods in a convenient way.
At the same time, an important point in making a decision is the durability of building materials. This answer was given by 92% of Russians. Another 88% are guided by a low price. The same number of votes was given to the positions “color, pattern, texture”.
To a lesser extent, the choice is influenced by the popularity of the brand, the country of production and whether the manufacturer is familiar to him. Two thirds of buyers pay attention to these three factors (64%, 65% and 68% respectively). It is worth noting that each voter could choose several options.
