The Glavgosexpertiza of Russia issued a positive conclusion following the review of project documentation and engineering survey results for the reconstruction of a fuel and lubricants warehouse on the territory of the largest air hub in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District.
In February, Russian President Vladimir Putin took part in the opening ceremony of a new passenger terminal at Novy Urengoy Airport. The project for the reconstruction of the complex was considered by the Glavgosexpertiza of Russia. As part of its further development, it is planned to reconstruct the fuel and lubricants warehouse located here, which is used to supply aircraft (AC) with fuel, lubricants and special fluids.
In order to ensure the uninterrupted operation of the warehouse, a phased dismantling of existing buildings and structures and the construction of new modern facilities are envisaged.
“The reconstruction of the fuel and lubricants warehouse at Novy Urengoy Airport will take place in four stages, during which existing technological buildings and structures will be reconstructed or new technological buildings and structures will be built to ensure the reception, storage and delivery of TS-1 jet fuel and light oil products for refueling”– Andrey Putrya, the chief expert of the Glavgosexpertiza project of Russia, said.
The reconstruction will take place in the conditions of the existing airport. The annual cargo turnover of the warehouse for aviation fuel will be about 35 thousand tons per year, for diesel – 480 tons and another 180 tons – for gasoline. The total capacity of the tank farm will reach 8527 cubic meters. m.
The developer of the facility is Urengoyaeroinvest LLC. The general designer is Terra-South LLC.
