Eleven farmers of the Selenginsky district united in the Temnik agricultural cooperative to organize wool processing and felt production. The implementation of the project became possible thanks to the national project “Small and Medium Enterprises”. To date, the agricultural cooperative “Temnik” has already purchased carding and scutching machines and wool cleaning equipment. The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Buryatia reimbursed the agricultural cooperative for the cost of purchasing equipment in the amount of 50%. Already this spring, the sheep breeders of the Selenginsky district will be able to sell wool at a bargain price, and the resulting felt will go to the first customers. Thanks to the support of the leadership of the Selenginsky district, the agricultural cooperative will accept unwashed wool from the farmers of the district at a price three times higher than the average market price – 20 rubles per 1 kg.
