The attackers also threatened the police with a knife and sprayed them with pepper spray.
The Izmailovsky Court of Moscow convicted three defendants in the case of beating a man in the subway. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the press service of the court.
The defendants were found guilty of attempted murder by a group of persons, as well as the use of violence and insulting a government official. Gasan Zalibekov was sentenced to 8.5 years in a strict regime colony, Ibragim Musalaev to 11 years, and Magamaali Khanmagomedov to 12 years. The men were also sentenced to imprisonment for a year.
