The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation approved changes to the list of products for parallel imports. This was reported by the press service of the ministry.
“The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia has amended the list of goods that are not subject to the requirements for the protection of intellectual rights by the right holders (patent holders), which was put into circulation outside the territory of the Russian Federation,” the message says.
Thus, the list has been expanded by a number of brands of motor oils – Shell Helix, Rimula, household appliances – Zanussi, Wahl, cosmetics and perfumes – Kerastase, Yves Saint Laurent, as well as toys and children’s goods – Hasbro, Logitech, Nintendo. In addition, spare parts for agricultural and marine equipment of Caterpillar and Bauer Kompressoren brands have been added to the list.
The ministry recalled that there are clear criteria for the inclusion or exclusion of a brand from the list. “If a company left the Russian market, stopped deliveries, closed its production in Russia, such brands are included in the List for Parallel Imports. If foreign partners fulfill their contractual obligations in good faith, the products are presented in sufficient quantities on the shelf and supplied to our enterprises, the products are excluded from the list,” they explained.
