Wildberries employees rioted on the ship on March 14 when they saw an endless stream of fines due to innovations that no one asked about. Many points of issue of orders (PVZ) were closed for 3 days, the management was squirming as best they could, and now they finally decided to return the money. Victory? Yes, if only, the owners of the PVZ no longer believe in fairy tales.
What is the result of the three-day strike?
In the chat dedicated to innovations and strikes, the owners of the PVZ began to share first messages, and then screenshots with the transferred money, which had previously been withdrawn for defective or replaced goods. According to the telegram channel Baza, the total amount of the returned penalty money could reach 60,000 rubles. However, the dealers are sure that the management of the marketplace did this only to calm the scandal and vigilance of the franchisee, and then reintroduce fines.
In addition, now, according to the new rules, after the noticed substitution of goods, the owners of the PVZ will have a week to send evidence of their innocence, for example, a video of the acceptance or transfer of goods. Although in March, such a challenge was just canceled.
What else do Wildberries employees want?
The owners of the pickup point are now trying to discuss other possible changes with the company’s management. For example, it would be good to decouple the rating of a region from the rating of an individual item, because they often have nothing in common. And the time of receipt of the goods must be agreed upon at least for some specific period, because now delivery can be sent at any time of the day. The fine for the lack of packages of 100,000 rubles can be reduced tenfold, and cameras must be installed everywhere along the route of the goods.
How did the Wildberries strike start?
Since March 3, the owners of the pickup point have been made happy with new rules – if the goods arrive with a defect or not the right one, then the full cost of the goods is paid by the pickup point. At first, the workers did not understand anything, but a week later they began to receive fine after fine in their personal account. The debts of many employees quickly exceeded 100,000 and 200,000 rubles, and for some, the number of fines reached 500,000 rubles. And because of this, Wildberries employees began to delay salaries.
Therefore, on March 14, many pickup points throughout Russia simply did not open – why work for free? And in Moscow, entrepreneurs went to the head office of the marketplace to sort things out. There, too, there were some jokes – they didn’t want to let them in, they even had to call the police.
The reaction of the Wildberries management to the strikes
On March 14, the head of the press service, Valery Prokopiev, stated that the strikes were all rumors, and several people of unknown affiliation came to the office. With such partners who choose “uncivilized forms of protest”, the company decided not to work.
Then couriers began to drive up to the points of issue of Wildberries, who seemed to be trying to take the goods to the warehouse on behalf of the company. Only not to all points, but to the chosen ones, more precisely, belonging to the rebels. Many simply refused to give out anything, because the couriers did not have any documents and orders. But there is a good opinion that these were swindlers, and not intruders from the leadership.
But what exactly is the work of the company is the blocked accounts of the owners of the pickup points. Only those entrepreneurs who came to the Wildberries office with a showdown fell under the distribution. It turned out that it was impossible to criticize the company, it was even written in the contract. Therefore, further management plans to get rid of the rebels through the personnel department.
Now the company promptly changed their shoes, began to return the money and, moreover, temporarily froze the system of fines in order to sort out the situation.
Which government agencies are interested in the situation?
I would like to rejoice at the awakened conscience of the top managers of Wildberries, but it’s too early – close attention from the relevant departments is to blame for such complaisance of the leadership. The Federal Antimonopoly Service and the Ministry of Labor are already very eager to talk with representatives of the company.
In addition, the deputies also showed an active interest – they invited the Wildberries leadership to the State Duma twice, and if they managed to ignore the first one, they had to go to the second one. Now the deputies want to correct the legislation so that such contracts as marketplaces have cannot be changed unilaterally.
