Village hit by worst flood in 28 years
The authorities of the village of Ulyanovka in the Penza region are investigating who was involved in transporting people in a tractor bucket across a flooded river. RIA Novosti writes about this with reference to Elena Krylova, deputy head of the administration of the workers’ settlement of Yevlashevo.
Earlier, a video appeared on social networks in which a tractor crosses a river. There are six people in the bucket.
According to Krylova, the village experienced the worst flood in 28 years. She noted that the authorities organized a bus to transport people from one coast to the other. According to Rossiyskaya Gazeta, the administration of the workers’ settlement of Yevlashevo believes that the tractor driver was transporting people, violating traffic rules. The incident will be investigated by the police.
A local resident told the PenzaInform online publication that the tractor driver was extremely careful and drove slowly. According to the man, he transported people for free, the villagers are very grateful to him.
