On March 1, 2023, a law came into force that granted farms the right to lease state or municipal agricultural land for up to 5 years without holding tenders. How farmers can use this right, explained the press service of the government of the Moscow region.
“First of all, the law (dated July 14, 2022 No. 316-FZ.) is designed for small forms of agriculture, since before the innovation, farmers had to compete with large agricultural producers. Now there is an opportunity to receive land in a simplified manner,” said Anna Krotova, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Moscow Region.
She also added that it is possible to get land for rent, regardless of the land plots already available to the farmer, with the right of priority redemption of the leased plot in the future.
As Anna Krotova explained, in the Moscow region, you can rent a plot without bidding on the regional portal of public services.
When filling out an application, in the field “Purpose of your application” you need to select the item “Provision of a land plot without bidding in accordance with Article 39.18 of the Land Code of the Russian Federation” in the drop-down menu.
The term for receiving the service is 15 working days.
