It is reported that the cow that gave birth to twins is kept in the private farm of the village of Posad, Podporozhye district.
On March 4, a cow named Swallow began calving, which successfully ended with the birth of a bull. “The afterbirth separated on time, but the mistress was embarrassed by the fact that the cow gives little colostrum – about one liter, and the udder is still gaining, and she thought that she could be milked. What was the surprise of the hostess when, on March 8, she came for milking, she saw that the Swallow was calving again. This time the cow brought a heifer,” said the specialists of the veterinary department.
The experts cited scientific literature data, which indicated that cows have twins in 2-4% of cases, and the interval between births of calves is 1-2 hours.
