This contributed to the growth of the economy of the republic.
In 2022, about 110,000 Russians arrived in Armenia and stayed permanently. The head of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic, Vagan Kerobyan, told Vedomosti about this.
According to Kerobyan, about 2,500 legal entities and 4,000 individual entrepreneurs with Russian participants were registered last year. Kerobyan noted that the number of staff of some Russian companies in Armenia reaches 700 people.

Thanks to the relocation of Russians and the transfer of Russian organizations to Armenia, there was a significant increase in the country’s economy. As the minister noted, the republic’s GDP for 2022 grew by 12.6%, of which “relocation created three percentage points.”
In September 2022, Rosstat reported that 419 thousand people left Russia in the first half of the year. Most often they went to the CIS countries. In 2021, according to the agency, about 200 thousand citizens left Russia.
