For the first time in Russia, the unmanned aerial system of Rostec delivered mail in the Far North. Addressees living beyond the Arctic Circle received their parcels thanks to the BAS-200, created by specialists from the Russian Helicopters holding. The unmanned aerial vehicle performed demonstration flights for the Russian Post at low temperatures in the Salekhard area of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District.
Flights of the BAS-200 helicopter-type unmanned aerial vehicle were organized as part of the Airborne Unmanned Cargo Delivery beacon project launched by the Russian Post. The pilot series of transportations was carried out by the National Center for Helicopter Engineering. M.L. Mil and N.I. Kamov of the Russian Helicopters holding.
