In February 2023, work was completed on pulling a steel pipe of the Power of Siberia main gas pipeline with a length of 1548.5 meters, a diameter of 1420 mm, a wall of 32 mm and a total weight of about 2000 tons into the case of the reserve line of the underwater crossing under the Lena River in the Kirensky district of the Irkutsk region . It was necessary to lay a steel pipe with clamps for fiber-optic communication lines in a reinforced concrete case of a backup line 1497 meters long from unlined reinforced concrete pipes with a diameter of 2500/2000 mm and a wall thickness of 250 mm, without damaging the insulation of the gas pipeline. To do this, rollers were installed on the pipe – support-centering rings made by a specialized company from high-strength and wear-resistant polymer and designed for serious loads. After integrity diagnostics, the backup branch was connected to the Power of Siberia gas pipeline.
