Lipetsk farmers took to the field

Agricultural producers of the Lipetsk region, while the soil for the sowing campaign has not yet warmed up enough, are engaged in top dressing of winter crops and perennial grasses. Work is underway in seven districts, the regional agriculture department said. Fertilizers were applied on 11.5 thousand hectares of winter crops and 1.5 thousand hectares of perennial grasses. However, prolonged autumn rains have significantly reduced the nitrogen content in the soil, so winter crops urgently need top dressing.
