Over the past month, 36% of Russians noticed an increase in prices for meat and poultry, a study conducted by the Public Opinion Foundation showed.
The number of Russians noting an increase in meat prices was the highest since mid-March this year. At that time, 39% of survey participants spoke about the increase in prices for meat and poultry.
An increase in prices for fish and seafood over the past month was noticed by 30% of respondents. A decrease in this indicator was recorded only last week, when 26% of survey participants spoke of a rise in the price of fish and seafood. Prior to this, the number of respondents who noted an increase in prices for this category of goods was within 30%.
An increase in the cost of milk and dairy products was reported by 29% of respondents. In a week, their number increased by 6%.
An increase in egg prices was noticed by 22% of respondents. During the week, the number of those who noted the rise in prices for this category of goods increased by 5%.
The study was conducted on May 19-21 among 1.5 thousand respondents from 104 settlements of the country.
